Frequently Asked Questions

Will the offshore recruiters be following their own recruiting process or can they use my company’s process?
Our recruiters follow our clients’ processes. That said, given the experience we’ve gained from the volume of recruiting we perform, we look to add value to our client’s process if we have suggestions we think will be beneficial.

What if we don't have a formal process or a script?
PSG Global Solutions will collaborate with you and build a custom script and process based on your goals and based on our experience with recruiting best practice.

Does PSG Global Solutions specialize in any particular staffing segments?
No, we provide staff for any type of recruiting. We have recruited for a wide range of positions- everything from administrative staff in New York to pharmacists in Tennessee. We even recruit for airline pilots in Dubai.

Do the recruiters have good English language skills?
Our recruiting center is located in The Philippines, a country of 96 million people where English is one of two official languages (Filipino is the other). Everything from newspapers to television shows to street signs are written in English in the Philippines.
From a cultural perspective, the United States and Philippines have strong ties dating back over 100 years, and consequently Filipinos have a strong cultural affinity for the United States. The result is an ability to be conversational with Americans which other outsourcing locations typically lack. A few fun facts to highlight the ties between the two nations:
i. There are 118 Starbucks in Manila alone (where our offices are located)
ii. There are more NBA games broadcast in the Philippines than on broadcast and cable television combined in the US
iii. Nearly 400,000 people in the Philippines work in the business process outsourcing industry, primarily serving US clients (In fact, our management team was one of the pioneers of this industry in the Philippines, and has served US clients such as American Express, TimeWarner, AT&T, and Microsoft)”

The above factors contribute to a large percentage of Filipinos having strong English skills, which allows us to be very selective in hiring our recruiters. To ensure our team members have top notch communication skills, we use a standardized testing process that scores candidates on the three linguistic categories of Fluency, Accent and Grammar. Any candidate that does not meet our expectations on one or more of these categories is not hired by us as a recruiter.

What phone number gets used?
Telephone calls are essentially free and overseas recruiters typically use a phone number that is local to wherever they are calling.

How can the recruiter work out of my computer software?
Given advances in technology, connectivity is relatively easy and inexpensive. Our recruiters typically work “in” clients’ software systems using a remote desktop solution. Such systems are very easy to set up; in fact, if you use Microsoft products you probably already own their Remote Desktop Solution. Working overseas is no more complicated than working at a satellite office or working from home.

Is my data safe?
Data security is a serious issue, wherever work is being done. As such, we have a comprehensive set of controls in place around employee and physical security, such as computers with no export devices, confidentially agreements with employees, security personnel, etc. While “safe” is a relative term, it is likely that the data is no more at risk than it is in your own system. If you opt to have overseas staff work out of your system, the data will continue to reside on your corporate servers and overseas workers will never actually store any data on their server.
